In an editorial, Hudson County GOP Chair Jose Arango and Vice Chair of Communications Joshua Sotomayor-Einstein explain why the United States’ military action in Iran without congressional consent is not new.
The extremists and Democrat politicians who pretend US operations against the Maduro dictatorship and the joint US/Israel operation against the Iranian terrorist regime are illegal, know better.
They know that bi-partisan statute passed by Congress long ago authorizes the President, the constitutionally designated Commander-in-Chief of all US Armed Forces, to engage in military activity for months without Congressional authorization.
These Democrat elected leaders, and their even more extreme primary challengers, know President Obama never sought Congressional authorization for the nine-month bombing of Qaddafi’s Libyan regime.
They know President Clinton did not have Congressional authorization for the bombing of Serbia during the Kosovo War, but they do not care because they are sadly consumed by their hatred of President Trump.
They did not care that Maduro was an evil dictator who jailed his opposition, rigged elections, and suppressed his people.
They did not care that Maduro destroyed the Venezuelan economy, pushing a formerly wealthy nation with a strong middle class into poverty except for those connected to the regime.
They did not care that Maduro was working hand in glove with drug traffickers and terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp.
They do not care that the terrorist regime occupying Iran recently butchered tens of thousands of their own people, nor do they care that the regime armed terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan killing hundreds if not thousands of American servicemen.
They do not care that the regime of the Mullah’s has violated every nuclear agreement they have ever made.
They do not care that the Mullahs violated their self-imposed limit against developing missiles that could reach beyond 2,000 kilometers.
They do not care that it has been state policy, since the religious dictatorship seized power, to wage jihad against America which they call “the great Satan.”
These Democrat elected leaders and their even further left-wing anti-American challengers, don’t care that Iran is the most significant state sponsor of terrorism in the world.
They do not care that women in Iran are murdered by the state for failing to wear the hijab nor that gays are regularly given the choice between “sex change” surgery or execution.
While it is sad to see the disconnect between most of the Democrat Party (including the growing cancer within it that is far left extremism) and reality, it is not shocking.
Rather, the pretend ignorance of recent American military conflicts launched by Democratic Presidents, the denial of Venezuelan suffering under Maduro, and the forgiveness of Iranian terrorism against the Iranian people and the US are part and parcel of leftwing Democrat self-induced anti-Trump brainwashing.
Fortunately for America, Republicans, independents, and even a few pro-American Democrats (such as Senator Fetterman) do care and continue to put country above party.
Does your orange god emperor know that you’re espousing a position that it’s ok for him to do something because Obama and Clinton did it first?
Of course, as you know, that doesn’t make it right.
But, you’re probably still salivating over Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Trump’s unpopularity, stupidity, corruption, and incompetence is going to crush republicans like you who are blinded by your fealty when the midterms come.
