The new officers sworn in were Raynel Carrillo, Gabriel J. Mendez, Kyle J. DeOrio, Yoswany Gonzalez, Jimmy O. Burgos, and Joseph A. Gagliardi.

“Each of these individuals has demonstrated a strong commitment to our community and a desire to keep North Bergen safe,” Mayor Nick Sacco said in a statement.

“We’re proud to welcome them into the North Bergen Police Department, where they will continue the proud tradition of service and professionalism that defines our township.”

Joining Sacco were Commissioners Anthony Vainieri, Claudia Rodriguez, and Allen Pascual, as well as police officials, family, friends, and community supporters.

“Our police officers are the foundation of public safety in North Bergen. These new officers join a department that values integrity, accountability, and compassion. I’m confident they will uphold those principles every day,” noted Pascual, the commissioner of the Department of Public Safety.

“This ceremony marks not only the start of a new chapter for these officers but also a reaffirmation of our department’s mission to serve with honor. I look forward to watching them grow within the department and contribute to our ongoing efforts to keep North Bergen a safe place to live and work,” added Chief Robert Farley, Jr.
