David Corbisiero and Robert Farley, Jr. were promoted to captain, while Alex Guzman and Jesus Fernandez are both now lieutenants.
Police Chief Bob Dowd sung the praises of the four cops being promoted, before the township commissioners and Mayor Nick Sacco also commended the efforts of the department.
“These guys are very deserving of today’s promotion, actually all four are, and I couldn’t be more happy for them,” Dowd said during the ceremony.
“The more we promote, the more police officers we bring on,” added Allen Pascual, the Township Commissioner of Public Safety.
“I’ve known these guys for many years, and I think [the] chief said it perfectly: there’s a wealth of experience here and I can’t imagine North Bergen a better place without these promotions.”
Lt. Fernandez expressed his excitement over the promotion when speaking with Hudson County View.
