“This giveaway embodies the spirit of North Bergen—coming together as a community to ensure no family goes without during the holidays,” Mayor Nicholas Sacco said in a statement.
The event was made possible by the efforts of NB C.A.R.E.S., led by Aimee Focaraccio, along with the Parks Department, the North Bergen Police Department, the Nicholas J. Sacco Foundation, and dedicated volunteers.
“This event showcases what makes North Bergen so special: our commitment to supporting one another and spreading joy during the holiday season,” Focaraccio added.
Generous donations from local organizations, businesses, and individuals powered the event’s success. Toys were collected through drives held at schools, township buildings, and local businesses, including Hudson Burgers and Beers.
Local businesses such as NoHu Property Group, HudHaus, Eye Contact Vision Center North Bergen, Frank’s Pizzeria in North Bergen, Ssavvy Designs, and Clean Green Laundromat made contributions to the event, adding to the success of North Bergen’s annual giveaway during the holidays.
