The event will take place on April 23 between 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the facility, located at 235 Jersey City Blvd, and for each $20 donation made to the shelter, Schneider will sign one piece of memorabilia.

“My wife and are strong supporters of animal welfare and it’s awesome to take part in saving lives with LHS’s staff and volunteers. I’m proud to help raise money and awareness for this organization who does so much good work for others,” Schneider said in statement.

For the past 2 years Cory and his wife, Jill, have been active LHS volunteers who have fostered many special needs animals in their home.

They are currently fostering “Bushmills,” a deaf and blind kitten who came from a hoarding situation in Jersey City. Jill is also an active volunteer and dog-walker at the shelter.

“Cory and Jill are steadfast supporters who are passionate about doing more for local animals in need. They are wonderful advocates for LHS, and we are so grateful to have the support of their family and the Devils’ organization,” added Irene Borngraeber, the executive director of LHS.
