The New Jersey Policemen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) is endorsing Craig Guy for Hudson County executive, citing his experience in government and law enforcement.

“The State PBA knows that Craig Guy will serve as Hudson County Executive with honor and focus on his constituents’ needs. We look forward to continuing to work with Craig in this new role,” PBA State President Pat Colligan said in a statement.
“There are few elected officials who will enter office with Craig’s experience as both a police officer and government administrator. Those skills, combined with his obvious care for the men and women of law enforcement in Hudson County makes him uniquely qualified for the job of county executive.”
Guy served served the Jersey City Police Department for more than two decades, retiring as a lieutenant, prior to becoming deputy chief of staff to Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise. He has eventually promoted to DeGise’s chief of staff.
“The NJ State PBA’s endorsement is a tremendous honor and I am grateful to Pat Colligan, his executive board and the entire membership for their support. I look forward to collaborating with the PBA to make sure that we always support the men and women in Hudson County law enforcement who sacrificing so much to keep us safe,” noted Guy.
“We must continue to fight to make sure that our police departments have the funding, training, and other resources that they need to do their jobs effectively and keep our communities safe.”
Guy has secured the endorsements of the likes of Gov. Phil Murphy (D), U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-NJ), and all 12 Hudson County mayors.
He also has the support of the Hudson County Fraternal Order of Police, Hudson County Building Trades, and the Jersey City police unions.
The Democratic primary is on June 6th, where Guy faces a challenger in progressive activist Eleana Little.
