A man was fatally shot in North Bergen near the intersection of Meadowview Avenue and 61st Street in North Bergen, authorities said this afternoon.

“Shortly after 9 a.m., the North Bergen Police Department was notified of a shooting in the area of Meadowview Avenue and 61st Street. A male victim was transported to Palisades Medical Center and pronounced dead at 9:40 a.m.,” the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office wrote on X a half hour ago.
“The victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
