“On Sunday, PO’s Bonanno & S. Vega arrested a man after he climbed on a patrol car outside of @HobokenPD headquarters and stomped on, and broke, the windshield. The vehicle’s bumper and frame were also damaged,” the Hoboken PD posted on X.
They continued that Glendell Murray was charged with interference with transportation, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
“Imagine just jumping on a parked police car in front of the police station and smashing the windshield. Again our members made a quick arrest,” the Hoboken Police Superior Officers Association posted on social media.
“We are hopeful that our justice system will hold this person accountable for his actions.”
Public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin said yesterday that Murray is 32 years old. No other information was immediately available.
