In a letter to the editor, longtime West New York resident Wayne Cook says his support is fully behind the Children First Board of Education team.
Dear editor,
This statement is in reference to a letter released earlier today showing support for certain candidates of the West New York Board of Education election.
I was shocked and upset to find that my name was placed on a list of signatories of that letter without my consent. I would like to express my disappointment in the actions of those who put out the letter, which was done in a clear effort to cause confusion and to deceive the residents of West New York.
To use someone’s name without their consent is underhanded and manipulative.
Furthermore, in order to prevent any further confusion or misinformation, I wish to express my complete support for the Children First Team comprised of David Morel (6J), Jose Alcantara (7J) and Adam Parkinson (8J) on November 8.

This slate also has someone who posts reprehensible / prosecutable pictures on social media. Receives kick backs from politicians. It’s clear by those backing them who have flip flopped their stances in light of a potential landslide. Melinda Saunders, Alex Navas and Ron Scheurle have many supporters. They also have an ethical standard that goes far beyond that of Wayne Cook’s letter here.
