Larry Wainstein election ticket submits 4,500 signed petitions in North Bergen

Larry Wainstein and his “Lower Taxes Time for Change” ticket submitted approximately 4,500 signed petitions for nomination to the North Bergen Township Clerk’s office this afternoon for the upcoming May 12 municipal election.

For the May 12 municipal election in North Bergen, each candidate will need 306 certified signatures on their petition for nomination.

Township Clerk Erin Barillas and Township Attorney Thomas Kobin received flack from Wainstein over not having the petitions counted in the office with a subsequent receipt, though Kobin later stepped in and said there was no actual controversy over the matter.

Afterwards, Wainstein introduced us to two members of his ticket: Juan Almanzar and Alcides Siri.

Although they were not present, Wainstein will also be joined on his ticket by township residents Veronica Castillon and Eduardo Cespedes.

Wainstein also told Hudson County View that the recent speculation about whether or not he lives in North Bergen is unfounded.
