At 11:19 a.m., the Kearny Police Department posted that Davien Castanela had been found safely near Kearny High School, thanking a resident who called after seeing him.

The Kearny PD is seeking the public’s help to locate a missing 15-year-old teen from the Bronx whose phone was last tracked near Kearny High School.
“Davien Castanela is a Bronx, NY native but his parent reports that his phone was last pinging in the area of Kearny High School. Clothing description is a black Tommy Hilfiger jacket, black Nike hoodie, black NASA t-shirt and black jeans,” the Kearny PD wrote on Facebook last night.
“Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Davien is asked to contact the Kearny Police Department at 201-998-1313 or tips@kearnynjpd.org.”
No further information was immediately available.
