“The Kearny Police Detective Bureau is seeking assistance from the public to determine the identity of a suspect who took over $10,000 in cash from a local business,” the department announced on social media yesterday.

Based on screenshots taken from video surveillance footage, the man was wearing a green overcoat, a black hat, had a beard and was carrying a black duffle bag at the time of the robbery.

Police have not named the business where the crime took place.

Authorities are asking anyone with any information regarding the situation to email tips@kearnynjpd.org.
