“Parking enforcement and street sweeping will resume city wide on May 4th. However, there are over 30 Public School parking lots available for resident use,” the city tweeted this morning.

The Jersey City Parking Division suspended all parking regulations until further notice on March 20th due to the COVID-19 crisis, which has forced schools to switch to remote learning plans.

In recent weeks, Mayor Steven Fulop and other officials have expressed concerns about trash and debris littering the streets – particularly medical gloves and masks.

Bayonne has also announced that street sweeping enforcement will return next week, though ticketing isn’t expected until the week of May 11th.
