On Sunday at approximately 10:44 p.m., a 31-year-old man arrived at the Jersey City Medical Center indicating that he had been shot in the right leg at 46 Fulton Ave., according to spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.

She added that the injury was not life threatening.

Police radio transmissions from April 3rd indicated that they had encountered a “victim with blood on his face” who was not interesting in speaking with the police and refused medical attention. Officers on the scene later said that they did not believe the man had been shot.

Neighbors told authorities investigating the incident that at least two shots had been fired and police recovered two shell casings: one in front of 47 Fulton Ave. and one in front of 48 Fulton Ave., police scanner communications said.
