The verdict was delivered before Hudson County Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Pascual following a three-day trial and the State was represented in this matter by Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Dennis Murray.

“Crimes on children are heinous, even more so when the defendant is trusted to care and provide for the victim. We thank the jury for its service in this matter and are hopeful this conviction provides healing to the victim on the continued road to recovery,” he said in a statement.

The defendant, whose identity is being withheld to protect the victim, faces 25 years to life in New Jersey State Prison at sentencing, which is tentatively scheduled for May 19th. He is also subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan’s Law registration.
