Jersey City and Hoboken scored big with $2 million and $1 million grants, respectively, from the New Jersey Department of Transportation – both at least 50 percent more than what they received last year.

Yesterday, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop tweeted that the grant would be helpful for spring paving and “bike plans,” likely alluding to the upcoming citywide Bicycle Master Plan.

Last year, under Gov. Chris Christie (R), Jersey City received $1,038,402 from the state DOT for miscellaneous street improvements.

Meanwhile, Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla said on Twitter today that the money “will be invested directly into pedestrian safety initiatives, road repair, and other projects.”

In 2017, the Mile Square City netted $434,663 from the NJ DOT for “pedestrian crossing improvements.”

  1. Oh wow, thought Bhalla was going to announce a new indoor waterpark for Hoboken, complete with security guards carrying rifles to protect him as he goes down the big waterslide! This saves him trips to Kalahari

Poor Ravi, exploiting threats to cover up his double dipping

I know.. he can name the giant slide after himself ” The Double Dipper” !

  2. Nancy still can’t figure out what defamation is after how many years?

Maybe you should learn and apply it to yourself Syb. You can’t even infer that person suggested any crime. They said you were inadvertently a moron.

That’s not a crime. That’s just the way it is.

    • Who’s stupid? If you had half a brain, you’d have written a demand letter– your STUPIDITY cost you big. Why don’t you crawl in hole where you belong, scum.

      • Didn’t I see attorneys collecting from plaintiffs in that case? Yes, I saw that right here on HCV. They are collecting based on their demand letters. They haven’t surrendered any rights.

Maybe you should read more, learn facts and talk out of your ass less Sybil. Then people would dislike you less.

        • Roman’s judgment amount was pro-rated because the STUPID id-i-ot submitted his demand letter VERY VERY LATE. He would have gotten 100% of his legal fees had he submitted a timely demand letter. He lost at least $75,000 because he was STUPID and lazy to write and file one, though Nancy tried to HELP by sending him her drafts at least 2x plus reminding him repeatedly. Only Roman was too STUPID and lazy to help himself– a couple of hours of work–kinda like now. On HCV all day bashing his enemies instead of getting a J-O-B.

STUPID horses living in glass barns should not throw stones. Did I say that Roman was stupid?
