Jersey City Ward B Councilman Khemraj “Chico” Ramchal has apologized for his driving while intoxicated arrest Saturday morning in a statement released to various media outlets moments ago.

“I would like to apologize to my constituents and all of the people of Jersey City for my actions on Friday evening. I take full responsibility for this incident which I regret very deeply,” Ramchal said in a prepared statement.
“I made a mistake and will deal with the consequences through the legal system as well as participate in a counseling program.”
“I also want to thank all of the people who have contacted me and expressed their support and friendship. I have learned a valuable lesson and will never allow anything like this to happen again.”

I want the issue of use of the “emergency lights” addressed. Also, what is the counseling for? Only a “alcoholic” needs counseling. What else would he need counseling for? I certainly accept his apology. I’m sure he feels very bad that someone got hurt. If he is admitting to a one time slip up of over drinking and getting behind the wheel and apologizing that is fine. But, like he said he needs to deal with the consequences. If he admits to having a drinking problem he needs drug treatment. I have a problem with his possible lying and saying someone else went through a red light when a off duty cop and someone else witness him doing it.
It is so painful to read this stone headed and ill-minded racist lead this great city and the residence. You would find one council man robing your house in association with the city police. Nothing expect from this incompetent ill minded racist.

Councilman of Ward B Mr. Khemraj “Chico” Ramchal properly were having to much stress at the time of the incident and I (Ms. Cynthia Chandler) pray citizens should not speak about things occurred in a Councilman life because you are not the person having to represent the City of Jersey City it can be very stressful for anyone with employment. Working citizens are very stressful because it is the territory of employment and everyday issues in citizens life of working citizens in this great country of the United States of America. Citizens never had employment can not understand job issues occurred everyday attend work and having to attend family issues of everyday life situation Okay non working citizens should thinking about their issues and get employment.
