“Yesterday, Chief Robert J. Dowd held the Inaugural Interfaith Advisory Council Meeting at Headquarters,” a Facebook post from Saturday reads.

“Faith leaders from Our Lady of Fatima Church, Grove Reformed Church, St. Rocco’s Church, North Hudson Islamic Center, Gospel Tabernacle Church, Alghadeer Benevolent Foundation and Primera Iglesia Bautista were provided breakfast, the opportunity to meet the Command Staff and received a tour of Headquarters.”

Additionally, the faith leaders in attendance were then able to participate in a round table discussion with Dowd and other ranking members of the department on pressing issues they wanted to bring to the department’s attention.
