Hudson County View and The Jersey Journal are teaming up to host a Bayonne mayoral debate later this month, with the forum being streamed live on our Facebook page and residents are encouraged to attend.Â

Corey McDonald, the Bayonne beat reporter for the Jersey Journal, and this reporter will be co-moderating the event, scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Nicholas Oresko Community School, located at 33 East 24th St., on April 26th.
The public is encouraged to attend, particularly since audience participation will be encouraged for questions at the end.
All three mayoral candidates, incumbent Jimmy Davis, former Assemblyman Jason O’Donnell and Dr. Mitchell Brown, have agreed to attend.
The event briefly appeared to be in limbo as the Hudson Media Group had previously scheduled a debate for the same date and time, but HMG owner Pat O’Melia offered to host a debate at his North Bergen studio at an earlier date to make the situation easier for everyone involved.
