Hudson County Clerk’s Office to host mobile outreach session in Union City


The Hudson County Clerk’s Office will be hosting a mobile outreach session in Union City next week, with services including providing resident ID cards, business trade name registration, and vote-by-mail registration.

The event will take place from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. at 3700 Palisade Ave. in Union City. Interested parties are asked to bring the required documents for their items to be processed.

Those seeking a notary public swear in will require a Notary Commission Certificate within 90 days from when the notary application was processed and completed on-line comes with a $15 filing fee. Failure to meet the 90-day time limit will result in the cancellation of the appointment and the filing fee will be non-refundable. Also not that a photo ID is required.

Additionally, anyone interested in a county or senior ID must reside within Hudson County, must appear in person at the County Clerk’s Office Mobile Site, present required documentation, and render cash or money order payment.

Minor applicants (14-16 years old) must appear with a parent, while adults must present a valid U.S birth certificate with a raised seal, unexpired U.S. Passport or U.S. Naturalization Certificate.

Residents born in Jersey City or Secaucus must present a valid birth certificate issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Health.

Furthermore, Residents whose last names differ from the name on their birth certificate as the result of marriage must also present a certified copy of their marriage certificate with a raised seal or an unexpired U.S. Passport or a U.S. Naturalization Certificate. Non-Naturalized residents must present a valid Resident Alien Card.

Senior ID’s cost $2 each, “minor resident IDs” are $5 a piece, while adult IDs are $10 per person.
