The Hudson County Building and Construction Trades Council is backing former Bayonne Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski for mayor in the non-partisan May 12th contest.

“Labor unions have always been important to our community here in Bayonne because they have given countless residents an opportunity to build a solid career and enter the middle class, but in recent years city leaders have too often ignored the needs of these hardworking men and women and prioritized giving tax breaks to big developers instead,” Ashe-Nadrowski said in a statement.
“That ends on day one of my administration, because we’re going to make sure that union labor is incorporated on major construction projects and that local residents get these construction jobs as our city develops. I’m grateful to the Hudson County Building Trades for their support and look forward to working closely with them to build a better future for Bayonne.”
Ashe-Nadrowski is in a three-way dance for an open seat, looking to defeat Councilman at-Large Loyad Booker and Business Administrator/Board of Education President Mary Jane Desmond.
Interim Mayor Robert Kubert, also the Peninsula City’s public safety director, was appointed to succeed Mayor Jimmy Davis late last year in anticipation of Davis being sworn in as Hudson County sheriff in January.
“Sharon Nadrowski is committed to providing more job opportunities for the union men and women who make Bayonne the kind of tight knit community that residents love, and we’re excited to endorse her and the entire Team Sharon slate,” noted Building Trades President Pat Kelleher.
“Our members will be working hard over the coming weeks to talk to voters and make sure they know that Sharon Nadrowski is the clear choice for mayor.”

Sharon was council President for 8 years, and did 41 , 30 to 35 year tax abatements and did not use union workers on anyone of those projects, she was the council president, she sets the agenda and she voted on everyone of those projects , she failed the union workers and union leadership is failing its members, in other words Pat K sold you out !!!!!!! Time for new leadership
