“The arts – dance, theater, music, film, and visual arts – inspire a community to grow, prosper and succeed. Hudson County has a rich tradition of artistic expression, and we are stronger for it,” Hudson County Executive Craig Guy said in a statement.

“The County’s Local Arts Program grant provides valuable resources to our many vibrant arts and community organizations so that they may continue to bring high quality creative programming to the residents of our 12 diverse municipalities.”

All Hudson County municipalities and non-profit organizations are eligible and welcome to apply.

Furthermore, LAP and HPP grants are administered by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development (HCOCHA/TD), a unit of Hudson County government.

“I strongly urge our wonderful nonprofits and municipalities to apply for the 2025 LAP and HPP grants. Hudson County is a vibrant mosaic of cultures and ethnicities from all over the world and the variety of art forms is just as rich and unique,” added HCOCHA/TD Director Gina Hulings.

“LAP is a vital lifeline that allows local organizations, towns and cities to bring this diverse, awesome programming directly to Hudson County residents. Likewise, HPP brings history alive so that we can understand and appreciate our rich and varied past.”

The Fiscal Year 2025 Hudson County LAP and HPP grants provide programs and services from January 1, 2025 to December 21, 2025.

The programs are funded by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the New Jersey Historical Commission, as well as Guy and the Hudson County Board of Commissioners.
