UPDATED: Hoboken police seeking public’s help to locate missing 60-year-old woman


Hoboken Police Chief Kenneth Ferrante tweeted around 4:47 p.m. that the NYPD had found Maria Kavanagh and she has been reunited with her family.

“[The] Hoboken Police Department is investigating a missing person which was reported to us yesterday,” the HPD tweeted about a half hour ago.

“Maria Kavanagh,60, was last seen in the area of 14th and Bloomfield St on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 at 0736AM. If you have any info on her whereabouts please contact us at 201-420-2100[.]”

According to an Instagram post from the Hoboken-based Mason Civic League, Kavanagh lives near 12th and Bloomfield Streets and was “disoriented from prescription pills” when she went missing.

No further information was immediately available.
