“The Hudson County Republican Committee would like to congratulate Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon on her election as Chairwoman of the NJGOP. Hudson County’s own Pavel Sokolov, the Hoboken Republican Chairman, was also elected to serve as the NJGOP Vice-Chairman,” the Hudson County GOP said in a statement Wednesday.
“Our organization looks forward to working together with the newly elected NJGOP leadership to continue building Republican power in Hudson County and across the state.”
Sokolov also thanked Hudson County GOP Chair Jose Arango for his support and mentorship, continuing that he’s looking forward to supporting Republican voters and candidates throughout the Garden State.
While Hanlon being elected chair received a fair amount of coverage, handily winning a four-person race, the vice chair contest where Sokolov defeated Union County Republican State Committeeman Brian Johdos by a vote of 30-12 had not been reported.
No other candidates threw their hat in the ring in the election of vice chair, a post that was previously held by Darlene Shotmeyer.
Sokolov became the Republican GOP Committee chair in June, as HCV first reported, and is also a Hudson County Republican state committeeman.

So now Joey “Getz” Branco reports to Pavel?
What a $hit show for the rhinos.
Proof It ain’t a hoax!
Poor Little Pavel, he so badly wanted to be once of Russos KGB… Now he is stuck with BS titles…
