Hoboken 5th Ward Councilman Cunningham won’t seek re-election or ‘anoint’ successor

Hoboken 5th Ward Councilman Peter Cunningham has announced that he will not seek re-election in November after 12 years on the city council, noting that he has no intentions of “anointing” his successor.

By John Heinis/Hudson County View

“Twelve years is a good long time to serve on City Council, and I am more than proud of my accomplishments. I can say, from my perspective, I have made this City proud of who it was, who it is today, and who it will be into the future. With that being said and after careful thought with family and friends, I have decided to not run for re-election this year,” Cunningham said in a mass email sent this morning.

“I must now devote increased time to my professional life and more importantly, my responsibilities as a husband and a father. I entrust my legacy to my council colleagues Jen Giattino and Tiffanie Fisher. We need to stay grounded in the foundation of reform initiated twelve years ago, and remain committed to good government. Politics is always inherent to the process, but healthy debates about policy should always be respected and encouraged.”

Also stating that he is proud of the work he did to fight corruption alongside both Councilwoman, and later mayor, Dawn Zimmer, Cunningham also implies he will not be involved in “anointing” his replacement since “it would be hypocritical.”

When Zimmer announced that she was not running for a third term as mayor in June 2017, she endorsed then-Councilman-at-Large Ravi Bhalla to succeed her (which he did).

Cunningham backed Council President Jen Giattino in that mayoral contest.

With Cunningham choosing to ride off into the sunset after this election cycle, the frontrunner quickly becomes attorney Phil Cohen: the 1st vice chair of the Hoboken Democratic Committee who announced in May he was running on the five-person council slate backed by Bhalla.

In his own statement, Cohen praised Cunningham for his service and said he hopes to be able to continue that legacy.

“I want to thank Peter Cunningham for his 12 years of service to the Fifth Ward as our Councilman. I wish Peter a well-deserved respite from 12 years of work for the citizens of Hoboken,” Cohen said.

“I look forward to earning the support of the voters of the Fifth Ward and building on the progress and legacy of reform to which Peter was a key contributor.”

Mayor Ravi Bhalla, 2nd Ward Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher and Giattino all reflected fondly on Cunningham’s accomplishments, calling him a crucial part of the reform movement and “an independent voice.”

“I thank Councilman Cunningham for his 12 years of service to Hoboken. I appreciate the dedication he demonstrated for his constituents and the contributions he made to the reform movement. I wish him well in his future endeavors,” Bhalla tweeted after this initial story was published.

“Peter was a true reformer, who was the mastermind behind getting the city’s finances in order. No matter the issue, Peter has always done what he believed was best for the city. It will be a great loss for Hoboken to no longer have his independent voice on the city council,” Giattino said in a statement.

“At the core of his decision making, and what I respect most about his leadership, is his commitment to always doing what was best for Hoboken and his 5th Ward neighbors. Peter’s judgment and independent voice have had positive impacts on our community and will be missed,” added Fisher.

  1. IMO, Peter did the right thing. He served with honor and integrity until 2017’s unholy merger a VBM King and Pay-to-Player. I believe that running on a slate with them was a bridge too far. I believe that Peter wanted to leave with his reputation and legacy intact, untainted by unseemly associations. That was astute, especially given the likelihood that the Feds aren’t done in Hoboken. Good luck to him. Go, Phil!

    • Councilman Cunningham has long been rumored to be ready to throw in the towel and I wish him well.

The most interesting thing he said was said by not mentioning Councilmen Ramos or DeFusco at all as he ended his political career.

      • Only interesting in that Cunningham points to his legacy continuing with City Council President Jen Giattino and Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher. That little fact is misrepresented by the Ravi operatives.

The three council members recently voted against further expansion of the western edge project. Good leadership by the good government folks on the council leading the win. They voted in opposition to DeFusco and Ramos and Ravi Bhalla’s backing as they have consistently differed on development. Just another example of fact that doesn’t fit the lies put forward by the Ravi loons and Nancy.

Peter Cunningham’s career isn’t ended. He’s announced he won’t seek re-election. He will be involved for the rest of 2019. The most interesting thing is he speaks with authority. The lying dirt bags don’t.

        • Agree with you Michael DeFusco and Ruben Ramos are proven lying dirtbags and even knowing that Jennifer Gianttino and Tiffani Fisher are running with them on their dirtbag ticket

          • There is no ticket but one: The Ravi-Russo Alliance ticket.
Ravi Bhalla is protecting Russo and won’t name anyone to run again him even that little guy Ron who got what, 200 votes in the 2017 mayoral election and is no threat.

You can try to make up another ticket but everyone knows there’s only one real ticket, Ravi-Russo! They’re the best!

          • Racist Bigots.. Imagine what you would say if they called Ravi these names? Typical attacks on Hispanics and Gays from City Hall’s crazy supporters.

          • If Defusco, Fisher, Giatinno and Ramos all share the same campaign handlers at Vision Media they are a ticket

Fisher and Giatinno like Cunningham may be offended by the very real stench of dirty politics coming from DeFusco and Ramos as long as they in that alliance they are a ticket

    • What you want to believe is meaningless as your an obtuse fat liar. Peter Cunningham “I entrust my legacy to my council colleagues Jen Giattino and Tiffanie Fisher.”

Let’s ignore that and believe always wrong fanatic Ravi backing Nancy who Peter Cunningham and no one sane would talk to because she can’t be trusted.

First, she and the Ravi campaign said Peter, Jen and Tiffanie took orders from DeFusco and Ramos. WRONG!

Then Nancy peddles that there was going to be a “Dark Side” ticket with all five. WRONG!

Shoot, Nancy thinks if they keep counting the runoff referendum Ravi Bhalla will win. The Ravi campaign people and his paid political operative will do anything for power. They will lie, cheat and steal but worse, they will lie about the good people serving Hoboken. Thanks Peter for your hard work on behalf of Hoboken.

    • Peter Cunningham can speak for himself. He’s not a party to any juvenile made-up conspiracy theories or any non-existent ticket. Stupid! Does Nancy ever get tired of lying about good people? Obviously not.

Nancy has to keep piling on new lies because she’s proven wrong over and over! Didn’t she say there was going to be a five ward ticket against Ravi with DeFusco and Peter? When that lie is exposed, she just creates new lies. Maybe the rabbi can point out to her the commandment about bearing false witness.

Hoboken411 wasn’t so juvenile and dumb with fabrications. Nancy makes those jerks look good. When the truth comes out and it contradicts a Nancy lie, she immediately makes up new ones. Mike Russo love her. We can all see why.

      • Unsealed indictments, Ron Bautista, Perry Belfiore, Frank Rosner, Defusco/Raia ELEC analysis, Vision Media writing Jen’s press release. It just keeps happening. But you are absolutely killing it with providing the latest press releases from Defusco, Ramos and Fisher. So you can be useful that way even if you never find any information people want. You’ll definitely be the first one to know which lawfirms they hire. Kudos in advance!

        • Who? If no one of stature like Councilman Peter Cunningham will talk to you, maybe people are just sick of your endless lying. Take the hint.

Start making a list of people to apologize to and stop being a Ravi-Russo apologist. You don’t have to be ashamed about your dead blog just look in the mirror and be ashamed. Maybe the rabbi can speak to you about bearing false witness against good people. You have a lot to atone for and it will take a long time. Do it before you croak.

        • Nancy, putting aside your low brow nothing stories about postcards on doors and nobodies (I don’t read it but others laugh about it and told me), do you think Ravi’s pal Michael Russo is facing criminal charges? He’s the Raia of the 2015 election, funding hundreds of VBM “workers” as Pupie did in 2013. Will you and Ravi Bhalla be sad to lose another “asset” to Hoboken? By the way, i didn’t know that putting out a press release is a big deal. You should do a story on the criminal charges for it. You’re really good at this. LOL!

          • Convicted voter fraud felon Frank Raia was part of First Ward Councilman DeFusco’s failed mayoral campaign. Raia gave DeFusco nearly $10,000. DeFusco only officially cut ties with Raia and his banker Yacco after he was found guilty. An embarrassed DeFusco re-gifted the money Raia gave him some of it went to a political group DeFusco controlled basically giving it back to himself.

The vibrant hypocrisy of Michael DeFusco.

          • Hey, Ravi Bhalla said Frank Raia is “an asset” to Hoboken and will be so forever into the future. Let’s all try to remember even if Ravi Bhalla pays us to forget. 🙂

          • Michael DeFusco took $10,000.00 from Frank Raia who was also part of his recent failed mayoral campaign along with Ryan Yacco who was in charge of money distribution and only tried to distance himself from Raia until after the guilty verdict went public. Defusco pays his full-time public relations firm try to have the public forget that fact. If Ravi Bhalla is a bad guy for just saying Raia who in reality did many good things for hoboken, was “an asset”what does that make Michael Defusco ?

Hopefully the First Ward voters will remove DeFusco from office in November and do all of Hoboken a favor.

    • It’s been a while since Bit Mazon fans heard from me and my minion but it’s time for me to come out and give kudos to Ravi’s political operative.

Okay, sure, my minion and I were known for twisting a fine half-truth now and then but we can’t come close to touching the depth of fibs like Stinkus. She creates an odor immediately on anyone who fails to kneel to her boss approving the political operative payroll.

Too bad for Cunningham he has to go out with her stink on him but that’s how it goes these days. I don’t miss Hoboken and your Zimmerists but worse the Ravi Botchulism in its place. Oh, how it reeks from ACME all the way to City Hall and oozes like The Blob to all points north in the Mile Square. On a bad day, it can waft over to us in the burbs. Smells like unwashed burnt orange frizzy hair. Yuck!

Stinkus doesn’t tell the best lies but she is pretty good at telling the biggest. She reeks. Pee-yew!

  2. Peter deserves Hoboken’s thanks for his service to our City. He was an important part of the team that under Dawn’s leadership, really turned our City around.

Knowing when it is time to step away is hard, which is why so many people support term limits.

Kudos to Councilman Cunningham for recognizing that after 12 years on the Council, it was time to move on.

It’s a little odd the Peter pledged to support an unknown candidate to be named later to be his successor. Endorsing an actual person to succeed you makes a whole lot more sense than pledging to support an unknown person that you obviously aren’t in a position to evaluate yet.

I hope when the time comes Peter will evaluate the candidates, including Phil Cohen, on their merits and not just support an “anybody but Phil” candidate chosen by DeFusco, Ramos, Fisher and Giattino no matter who it is as his email implies.

  3. Peter Cunningham is a leader in the reform movement (killed by Ravi Bhalla) and good government (hated by Ravi Bhalla). Hoboken owes him much gratitude. Ok, now time for Nancy to show up with the mayor’s office to complain about DeFusco and point fingers away from themselves as they unleash their ugly selves against Jen Giattino and Tiffanie Fisher.

  4. F*** Phil Cohen. Last thing we need is another Ravi bot stinking up the joint. No, i am not running, I still am recovering from a stroke. There still is time to find some one besides Phil Cohen I assure you.

    • Is Nancy going to talk to herself all day? Holy human turd lover, she never shuts up on HCV. Did Ravi give her a raise and is he paying her by the comment?

      • Why would he have waited to complement his former opponent? If Peter wanted their comments he could have coordinated a join statement or told them ahead of time so they could have had something ready?

      • The cartoonish fabrications and conclusions are unintentionally funny with the bad writing but you made a mistake. She collects the data on any visitor and commenter and rats them out sending it to the mayor’s office. As everyone knows, they are not gentle with anyone who dares to differ. Better to spare yourself the Kapo data collection turned over to the Ravi Face Punchers.

        • Just make stuff up all day and hope enough dumb ones come along who will believe it. Anyone who would believe this would believe Ross Perot gave $100million to Trump through his 11 children. Perot had 5 children.

        • May I clarify that? Thank you. I only tag trolls, like Roman and Tony— who are constantly on my site. No, I do not share data. City Hall barely knows those two are alive. Have a great day, everybody!

  5. 10 posts about me below a story about Peter Cunningham’s retirement? Anybody else find that, um… unhealthy? Obsessive? Weird?

Just my observation. Have a great day!

  6. Crazy people:

For the sake of your own health please take a moment to reflect.

The stuff you post here doesn’t help Tiffanie or Jen or whoever might run in the 5th ward against Phil, and it doesn’t hurt GA or me or Phil or anybody else you’re trying to hurt.

By poluting a story about Peter’s retirement with your hateful and insane rantings you are treating Peter with disrespect. He deserves better after his 12 years of service to Hoboken.

This thread should be about Peter Cunningham and his service to Hoboken.

Why do you insist on making everything about yourselves and your obsessions.

    • You coax and stroke the crazy and encourage her, then you point the finger at others for her atrocious behavior, as witnessed ad nauseum here. The litter of her oozing sewerage is literally strewn here with her 1,000 and growing screen names. The pollution by Nancy and her ugly fanaticism is at a minimum with your encouragement and direction. People can’t wait to end Ravi Bhalla’s corruption, Terror Flier Crew and your BS. Please go away and stop dragging Dawn’s past efforts down the same sewer where Ravi’s paid political operative thrives.

    • This is so interesting coming from you both – Stan and Nancy – who spend every day writing bad things about anyone who is not seen as supporting Zimmer or Bhalla. And Nancy is ten steps below the national enquirer in terms of writing the truth. You claim that your awful attacks against Giattino Cunningham Fisher started when they supported Ramos for council president over a year and a half ago, but really your attacks started when GCF paused in their support of Zimmer’s hand off to Bhalla TWO YEARS AGO. Who is still sore after the election?

Other than that one vote that seems to be a fate worse than death to you and your followers (wasn’t there no other choice for council president as no one wanted to do it other than Ramos?) what have GCF really done that is so bad? GCF supported all of Bhalla’s progressive legislation and his big issues including UDD eminent domain, the Hilton hotel, Suez (where Bhalla secured a much better deal than your wife’s), the Escooter pilot and the western edge redevelopment. They only didn’t support Bhalla wanting to kick Cheryl off the rent stabilization board and he wanting to keep the runoffs (and ironically not wanting to give voters a choice). Your positions instead of being about Hoboken are about the success of Ravi and the demise of DeFusco. Hoboken residents deserve better than your unsubstantiated bias.

      • Unbridled narcisim is a form of crazy, and introspection and listening is not, to put it mildly, your thing.

Councilman Cunningham contributed mightily to the progress Hoboken began to make in 2007, progress that began when he and Dawn were elected to the Council in 2007.

He deserves to be recognized for his very real contributions to our City.

His decision to retire is not all about you and the nuts who worship Councilwomen Fisher and Giattino. The sh*tstorm of lunacy on this thread is an embarrasment. Councilwomen Fisher and Giattino should be embarrassed by it and IMHO owe Councilman Cunningham an apology.

Each Councilmember has their own body of work, and Peter deserves our appreciation for his. He certainly doesn’t deserve to have his legacy tarnished by the nonsense spewed here by supporters of pols who would like to co-opt his legacy to further their own ambitions.

The same will true for Councilwoman Giattino, and when she leaves office. She will deserve our appreciation for the important work she did in helping Mayor Zimmer turn our City around.

Those who were there fighting the fight when the rubber really met the road deserve our thanks. We should never forget the difference between those elected officials who were genuinely part of what truly was a political revolution – Zimmer, Bhalla, Mello, Cunningham, Marsh, Lenz, and Doyle – and those like Fisher and DeFusco, who were not.

Fisher and DeFusco have their own records starting in 2015 – the accomplishments of the others stand in stark contrast to those (to put it charitably, less accomplished) records and should always be recognized.

        • Isn’t it nice that Stan gives credit to others… so generous. Who knew that Hoboken only began in 2007 when his wife was asked to run and they had to create a platform for here beyond standing next to poop tomatoes

          • If only Reform icon Tony Soares had run for Mayor in 2005 instead of Carol Marsh. A Soares led ticket would have swept to victory, and Hoboken would have entered an era of REAL REFORM, like the kind Mike DeFusco and Tiffanie Fisher want to lead Hoboken back to.

Zimmer killed the REAL REFORM movement when she picked Mike Lenz over Soares to replace her as 4th Ward Councilperson in 2009. The same Mike Lenz who made the disastrous decision to choose Marsh over Tony and Beth Mason in 2005. Zimmer stabbed Tony in the back after he singlehandedly carried her from being a nobody stay at home mom to mayor.

Only Tony can bring REAL REFORM back.

Tony Soares 2021! BHALLA BEWARE – THE MOVEMENT HAS BEGUN AND IT CANNOT BE STOPPED.

  7. AL SULLIVAN IN HIS HOBOKEN REPORTER COLUMN MAPS OUT THE SACCO TICKET FOR HOBOKEN

SACCO’S VISION MEDIA ALREADY HAS DEFUSCO, RAMOS, FISHER AND GIATTINO ON BOARD

CUNNINGHAM BAILED PROBABLY NOT WILLING TO BUY INTO THE HIGH RISE HIGH DENSITY DEVELOPMENT THAT A SACCO TICKET WOULD DELIVER

CUNNINGHAM WAS ALSO HAS STATED HE IS NOT WILLING TO SIGN OFF ON TO WHAT WOULD BE ANOTHER SACCO CANDIDATE TO REPLACE HIM CUNNINGHAM”S UPPER NORTH WEST WARD IS ONE OF THE LAST PLACES THAT DEVELOPERS CAN MAXOUT WITH HIGH RISE DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY BUS IS TH LARGEST PROPERTY OWNER IN THE NORTH WEST AND HAS ALREADY MADE LARGE CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS TO BOTH RAMOS AND DEFUSCO

FISHER AND GIANTTINO ARE APPARENTLY WILLING TO SELLOUT HOBOKEN AND THEIR INTEGRITY TO STAY ON THE COUNCIL

    • WE ARE DEFINITELY IN A SCARY MOMENT WHEN WE HAVE A BIG DEVELOPMENT MAYOR SUPPORTED BY A BIG DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL. BHALLA ON MULTIPLE OCCAISIONS ANNOUNCING THE VARIOUS STAGES OF THE HILTON HOTEL PROJECT STOOD NEXT TO AND GAVE SHOUT OUTS TO THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE CRANE OPERATORS LOCAL 825 UNION WHO ARE THE STRONGEST UNION IN THE STATE AND ARE BEHIND THE STRONGER FOUNDATIONS PAC WHO GAVE BHALLA $100,000 TOWARDS HIS CAMPAIGN. YOU THINK THEY DID THAT OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE GENEROUS SPIRITS? BHALLA THEN GAVE THE HILTON DEVELOPER 25% MORE SQUARE FOOTAGE THAN WHAT THE COUNCIL HAD APPROVED SO THE HOTEL COULD PAY FOR UNION OPERATIONS. BHALLA SOLD OUT HOBOKEN AND COVERED IT WITH HIS $1MILLION DONATION TO HPEF TO INDIRECTLY BRIBE THE PUBLIC SCHOOL PARENTS.

AFTER DECLARING DURING THE HILTON PROJECT THAT NO DEVELOPMENT WOULD HAPPEN WITHOUT UNIONS AND DEVELOPERS MAKING LARGE FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS THE BHALLA ADMINISTRATION THEN DELIVERED THE WESTERN EDGE HOTEL PROJECT THAT WAS APPROVED BY THE ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL EXCEPT FOR DOYLE AND FISHER. THIS TIME WITH NO FANFARE SO THE PUBLIC WOULDNT SEE THE 20 STORY TOWER GOING UP NEXT TO THE MOVIE THEATER. OOPS, BHALLA FORGOT TO INCLUDE THE UNIONS IN THIS PROJECT SO IS NOW TRYING TO ADD THEM BACK IN AND GIVE UPZONING TO COVER THE COSTS.

BHALLA ADMINISTRATION RECENTLY BACKED AMENDMENTS TO THE WESTERN EDGE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN THAT SHOWED A LARGE UPZONING BUT THIS WAS VOTED DOWN BY DOYLE, JABBOUR, FISHER, CUNNINGHAM AND GIATTINO. ALTHOUGH APPARENTLY JABBOUR TOLD THE UNIONS SHE WASNT AWARE WHAT SHE WAS VOTING ON AND WOULD HAVE VOTED FOR THE MASSIVE INCREASE IN DENSITY ACROSS THE BACK OF HOBOKEN THAT WOULD BE EVEN BIGGER THAN THE BIG 7TH AND JACKSON MONSTROSITY.

THE BHALLA ADMINISTRATION’S FAUX OPPOSITION TO THE DEVELOPMENT PROPOSED BY ACADEMY IN THE SW IS ONLY BECAUSE THE ZIMMER/GROSSBARD’S THREATENED HIM WITH THEIR SUPPORT.

THE TEAM OF BHALLA, DEFUSCO, RAMOS, RUSSO, FALCO AND JABBOUR IS A SCARY ONE. A BIG DEVELOPMENT MAYOR PLUS 5 BIG DEVELOPMENT VOTES. ADD TO IT NOW THE POTENTIAL OF PHIL COHEN WHO HAS SAID YES TO 100% OF THE VARIANCES PLACED BEFORE HIM ON THE ZONING BOARD. THAT IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED TO DELIVER BIG DEVELOPMENT. THESE ARE SCARY TIMES IN HOBOKEN AND THANK GOD FOR DOYLE, FISHER AND GIATTINO WHO WILL BE THE ONLY TRUE REFORMERS LEFT IN OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

A MAYOR LED BIG DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM.

      • *

Al Sullivan’s recent OPED highlighted DeFusco, Ramos and their Godfather Sacco’s plans that if successful will subject Hoboken to high rise high density development. Fisher and Gianttino have joined them on Team Sacco.

          • Sacco knew he couldn’t get what he wanted from Bhalla so he bought Ramos and DeFusco who share his lack of ethics.

It is a shame that Giatinno and Fisher have trade in what was left of their ethics for being on the Sacco-Ramos-Defusco-Fisher-Giantinno ticket.

    • Look, Nancy is now yelling in caps. As if her stupid lies weren’t enough without yelling. Hey you dope, there isn’t and ain’t gonna be any “fusion ticket.” Peter Cunningham isn’t running. Helloooooooo? He’s moving on from elected office. Gee, I don’t remember Peter hiring you to be his mis(spokescrazy).

Cunningham will continue to work with Jen Giattino and Tiffanie Fisher to keep development from exploding. They just led a 5-4 council vote to stop the Western Edge project from being upzoned.

Someone should tell Nancy (and Lindastan) before they look even more stupid. Ok, we all know they will continue to lie and act crazy for power. Yes, Ravi sucks that bad and was in bed with Academy Bus and behind the boosted Western Edge plan.

Didn’t you enjoy all these “developments” Stanislaw? After yelling at Ravi and getting NIMBY with it, you put the home up for sale and are getting out of dodge. Smart.

      Now just go away.

      • Stan and Dawn are moving , they had their Hoboken mansion with garage parking and private driveway for sale.
Like most zimmer supporters who lose or step down, they leave town. It’s only natural their cult leader and her bossy spouse is going too!

    • Dawn Zimmer is the one who was owned by Bijou- Did you notice 700 Jackson ?
We have her to thank for Monarch, Union Dry Dock and the largest building to pierce the Palisades in Hoboken history!

    • Nancy,

Did the boss not tell you that John Allen and Joey Sacco Muniz are best pals?
Sorry, guess you aren’t as close to Bhalla as you thought.

Now go chase Perry Belfiore’s hair… but watch out what you say,it may be bugged!

  8. Peter can’t anoint a successor for a race he himself was likely going to lose. It makes him look even weaker than not running at all. Not running he can leave with his head held high saying he’s never lost a race.

      • For someone who wasn’t going to win she certainly had enough prestige with the public that her endorsement mattered a lot.

    • The phrase “annointed a successor” is a nonsensical construct devised by a small group of people who bizarrely thought they somehow represented the governing body of “reform” and who thought they had the “right” to annoint Giattino as Dawn’s successor. In their minds, they would choose, and Zimmer would endorse their choice rather than exercise her own judgment.

All Dawn did was endorse the person who she felt would make the best mayor. That endorsement was meaningful because many voters valued her opinion, but it was the voters who “annointed” Bhalla as her successor, not Zimmer.

Cunningham has made clear he intends to endorse an anti-Phil Cohen candidate, though he appears to be deferring to others as to who the candidate he will endorse will be.

If Peter is viewed as simply expressing the opinions of others rather than exercising his own judgment, then his endorsement will likely have little to no value in the election, and unfortunately his statement seems to imply that is what he expects to do.

I hope he reflects on this decision and ultimately exercises his independent judgment as Dawn did, since 5th ward voters would probably value his genuine opinion. They can get Fisher, DeFusco and Ramos’s opinions from the horse’s mouth.

      • Dawn to Kids First: ” I want Kids First to support Carmelo Garcia for BOE”

Maybe she just pulled a April fools joke or was it his reform agenda?
There’s an email out that went something like that…

      • So, let me get this straight, Peter didn’t endorse Phil in his announcement so you’ve decided that he’s going to endorse someone else? AND you’ve decided that, were he to do that, he’d be expressing the opinions of others and therefore his opinion has little value.

You are soooo full of yourself.

  9. A friend of mine spoke with Stan, the former mayor’s husband on election night 2017 and asked him why the Ravi campaign had run such a nasty campaign. Stan’s answer was, “That’s how you win.”

Let that sink in as the Ravi crew gears up their ward race runs.

    • A friend of mine spoke to Stan that night too, and asked him how Ravi had managed to win given that Tiffanie Fisher, the smartest person in Hoboken, had determined, after crunching all the available data, that he was “unelectable.” Stan’s answer was that Tiffanie didn’t give sufficient weight in her mathematical computations to the “Doofus Coefficient.”

Ravi could never have won without the unwitting help of the witless three Doofuses of Hoboken.

Let that sink in as the GiaDeRaFi ticket gears up their ward race runs.

I know I’m getting repetitive, and I couldn’t help laughing at your nonsensical imaginary conversation with Stan, but prattling away with your nonsense on this thread is a disservice to Councilman Cunningham, who unlike the doofuses, actually has a record of accomplishment worthy of being recognized and appreciated.
