“At Jersey City Medical Center, we are committed to providing high-quality specialty care to our patients,” JCMC President and CEO Michael Prilutsky said in a statement.

“It’s wonderful to be recognized for our hard work by Healthgrades and receive such prestigious awards. The Medical Center will continue providing world-class treatment to Hudson and surrounding county residents.”

Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide to identify the top-performing hospitals for sepsis and hip fracture treatment.

This year’s analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between five-star hospitals and one-star hospitals.

“We commend Jersey City Medical Center for their ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care to patients being treated for sepsis or patients undergoing hip surgery,” Healthgrades Chief Medial Officer and Head of Data Science Dr. Brad Bowman.

“Consumers can feel confident that hospitals with five-star ratings by Healthgrades have demonstrated their ability to deliver consistently exceptional outcomes.”
