HCDO gushes praise of WNY Commissioner Cirillo at Marinero Grill fundraiser

West New York Commissioner Cosmo Cirillo had the unabashed support of the Hudson County Democratic Organization at a Marinero Grill fundraiser last night, where Mayor Felix Roque and said he might the right decision by putting Cirillo on his re-election slate.

Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis, Freeholders Anthony Romano and Kenny Kopacz, Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner and Assemblyman Raj Mukherji (D-31) were just a few of the dignitaries who showed their support for West New York’s youngest commissioner.

West New York Mayor Felix Roque called his slate, as well as former Mayor Sal Vega – once a bitter rival – to the podium before he gave his remarks.

Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise, Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez (D-32) and Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-32) all recalled their personal experiences with Cirillo when they took the microphone.

After thanking the friends and family who helped organize the event, Cirillo thanked Roque for selecting him for his ticket and expressed optimism for the May 12 municipal election.

  1. are they running 6 candidates now??? perhaps they should being 90 percent of who i saw on the video cant vote in this town….heck im sceptical that even some of the candidates shouldnt vote in this town either….

  2. One thing you have to admire about these people is their commitment to what they believe in, and how they stick to their principles, even if it’s not politically expedient.
    ROFL!!!! Just kidding!!

    These clowns wouldn’t know a principle if it hit them in their stupid faces. Roque only gets support from slime like himself.

Roque and pals have plenty of time to go to fundraisers so they can buy this election, but not one of them has had the courtesy to respond to the request for them to appear at the candidates’ forum to be held on April 30th. They are a bunch of liars and cowards who sing their own praises in front of a friendly audience but don’t want to face questions from citizens. I wonder why.
