Hosted in a partnership with the Nicholas J. Sacco Foundation, the market had a ton of fresh meat, produce and frozen drinks – including shish kabobs, Lizzmonade and sweet roasted corn.

“This will be every Sunday like we did last year, but we’re extending it to the month of September. Every Sunday until the end of September and that’s when the produce starts going out of season,” said North Bergen Freeholder Anthony Vainieri (D-8), one of the co-organizers of the event.

He also noted that the park’s Veterans Memorial will be utilized for a ceremony on a September 11, which happens to fall on a Sunday this year.

The farmers market runs every Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. through September 25.
