“We are thrilled with the incredible outpouring of support our campaign continues to receive, especially with the election drawing closer,” said O’Dea said in a statement.

“Our goal in this election is to champion policies that elevate working class families, educate our children and make our city one where everyone can thrive, and this is clearly resonating with voters.”

In his report filed with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (NJ ELEC) yesterday, O’Dea raised $2,470, spent $26,454.37, and has $565,741.29 cash on hand after the 4th quarter of 2024.

His largest expense was paying Secaucus-based Vision Media $16,989.26 on fundraising, printing, and mailing for political pamphlets.

As for O’Dea’s city council slate, they raised $115,875.00 as a group and only spent $10,271.35, leaving $105,603.65 cash on hand, according to an ELEC report filed yesterday.

Businesses for Better Neighborhoods, a PAC based out of Plainfield, chipped in $26,100, while Waseem Boraie, of New Brunswick-based Boraie Development, donated $20,000, with Ralph Salermo, of Elizabeth-based Ramas Contractors LLC, showing support with $15,000.

UA Plumbers Local 24 PAC got involved at $10,000, with IBEW Local No. 164 giving $2,500 to the team account, the same amount that Garden Greenz cannabis dispensary owner Brian Markey contributed.

Their only sizable expense was hosting a fundraiser at the Chandelier restaurant in Bayonne on December 12th that cost $7,617.75.

Additionally, O’Dea commissioner account has $311,700.22 cash on hand after spending $44,346.24 in Q4 and not raising any new funds, his January 15th report shows.

Those expenses were mostly for office supplied and for charitable donations during the holiday season.

That, coupled with individual fundraising tallies, brings the O’Dea team to the aforementioned $998,444 cash on hand.

O’Dea is running Kristen Zadroga Hart and Councilman Daniel Rivera at-large (he’s seeking re-election), with Pamela Johnson in Ward A, Tom Zuppa in Ward C, and Elvin Dominici in Ward D.

The non-partisan November 4th mayoral race also currently features Ward E Councilman James Solomon, former Gov. Jim McGreevey, Council President Joyce Watterman, and ex-Board of Education President Mussab Ali.
