The panel, moderated by BCSBA Vice President Dr. Letizia Pantoliano, included Bagolie and Assemblywoman Lisa Swain (D-38, who both provided legislative insights and solutions for tackling teacher recruitment and retention challenges.
“Thank you to my colleague, Assemblywoman Lisa Swain, for her contributions to this important discussion, and to Dr. Letizia Pantoliano for her outstanding moderation,” Bagolie said in a statement.
“A special thanks to Michael Jacobs, BCSBA President, and the entire executive committee for organizing this timely and impactful meeting. These collaborative efforts ensure New Jersey remains a leader in education.”
Bagolie shared legislative initiatives aimed at addressing the teacher shortage, including streamlining teacher certification processes, expanding funding for educator preparation programs, removing outdated licensing, testing, and residency barriers, and developing apprenticeship programs to attract and retain talent in the profession.
“As a leader who leads by example, I believe that investing in our students and educators is the cornerstone of success. The work we’ve done in East Newark proves that with vision and determination, we can create schools that inspire learning and growth for everyone,” she added.
Two on this panel sued schools, why should we listen to them? Since Dr. Bagolie’s start East Newark School is declining. More kids have left to charter schools, teachers have left or have been fired, almost 30 in less then 2 years! She fiked to have a teachers certification removed! Losing the Century 21 grant for kids.
Parents recently signed a petition to have her removed. How can you be a good superintendent and principal while attending weekly meetings in Trenton? Can’t get along with town administration! Serious issues are occurring in that school amd needs to be looked into. Went so far as throwing us residents out of the parking lot the town leased from the school. How can an elected official create such chaos!!! Why is she proposing legislation on how board of education members attend meetings or where they live? They are her boss, this is a conflict! Our kids deserve better!!!
Crossing the line at every turn!!!
