With surveillance video depicting two Jersey City shootings – occurring within a two day period on the same street – spreading on social media, Councilman Khemraj “Chico†Ramchal sat down with Hudson County View to discuss gun violence in his ward.

Chico started by sharing his knowledge of the recent shootings, as well as expressing his sympathy towards an innocent bystander that was wounded.
In addition, Chico said a “private unit” had been placed in the area to provide additional police presence, but when asked said the unit couldn’t respond to the shootings because of high call volume in the West District.
Finally, Chico responded to the many residents who feel that the Fulop Administration and Jersey City Police Department are not responding to their concerns.
