“Hoboken is my home, where my wife, Stephanie, and I are raising our three children, and I’ve seen it change dramatically over the past 21 years,” Craft said in a statement.

“I am running because we have an opportunity to create a transparent government that works for its residents and make Hoboken the safest and healthiest environment for neighbors and families of all backgrounds … I’m proud to join Tiffanie’s team because we share a vision for safety, resiliency, and residents-first governance. Protecting and strengthening our community is at the center of every decision we make.”

He added that if elected, he wants to ensure all children have safe access to Hoboken’s parks, waterfront, and open spaces, keep Hoboken resilient against flooding and other impacts of climate change, work to ensure housing and living costs – including taxes – don’t price out families or seniors, and put quality of life at the center of every decision.

Craft, an urban planner, co-chaired the Hoboken Rebuild By Design Community Advisory Group and currently serves on the city’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT.), the Hudson County Open Space Trust Fund Advisory Board, and the Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse board.

“I’ve known Carter for over a decade — we first met on the Rebuild By Design Community Advisory Group. He brings a wealth of experience that directly addresses the needs of our community, along with the same passion I have for protecting and strengthening Hoboken,” Fisher added.

“Carter combines big-picture vision with practical problem-solving and rounds out the most experienced slate in this election, focused on delivering real results for residents.”

He joins Liz Urtecho and former Councilman-at-Large Dave Mello on Team Fisher, as well as Diane Imus, who is seeking the 6th Ward council seat.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carter to Team Tiffanie. His experience, focus on residents’ needs, and practical problem-solving make him a perfect fit for our campaign. We look forward to working with him to deliver results for Hoboken,” they said in a joint statement.

The non-partisan November 4th council-at-large race now his 15 declared candidates ahead of the August 21st filing deadline.

  1. Among those who have actually served Hoboken, Carter Craft is easily tops in the council field. He’s a very strong addition to the Fisher council slate. Well done!

    Now get it done!

      • As long as he has some integrity, and it appears he does — -he’s got my vote. So many of our political issues, in Hoboken, Trenton and DC, are a function of the toxic culture that has developed over the past 10 years. Time to sweep them all out
(Trump, Murphy, Bhalla et al) and build a government that is for the governed, not the governing class.

  2. literally the whitest people in hoboken…
this is tiffanie’s hoboken white and wealthy (except dave aint wealthy. he failed bar soooooo many times)

of course she called ravi unelectable, bc tiffanie wants hoboken run by 60 year old white ppl

  3. Carter Craft is a good guy with wide-ranging expertise and a principled approach to the public interest. He deserves better than to have to dilute his strong personal brand with ego-driven blowhards like Fisher and Mello.

Nevertheless, good luck to him. He will have my vote.

    • Blowhard is right
That guy had one sad pathetic agenda for 8 years: Build me a 3 Bed condo…
How’s that working out Skyclub Neighbor?

And please stop making so much noise, we can hear you down the hall
      You’re louder than the light

  4. Lets face it, folks – by far the best slate on the ballot. The mark of a good leader and executive is to align with and cultivate the best talent – Tiffanie has done just that! Elect this group and the city immediately becomes a better place to live

  5. This is a strong, smart, winning team. Well done by Tiffanie to attract such high caliber candidates to run on her slate. I’m not sure how this race goes, but this ticket the most qualified to lead the city and it isn’t really close.

    • Oscars so white… Remember that line?
Well at least Hollywood listened and addressed diversity issues.
      This group embraced the opposite.
If you can’t find people to represent our diverse community, how will you know the needs of those left out of your organization?

This shows arrogance “ we know what is best for you…”

      This is Hoboken not Cape-town

  6. These morons glazing Fisher are the same ones that swore up and down that Bhalla would lose the primary. Their approval shows not just how out of touch they are but how poorly Fisher and her slate will perform.

Just do the opposite of whatever the MAGA conservatives in these comments sections say and you’re on the right track.

  7. typical white people thinking

“ We want the best and most qualified “

Interesting they couldn’t find at least ONE person under 50, Born in Hoboken or a shade darker than JD Vance?

    Not a single tenant
