Bayonne OEM reports just 75 residents currently COVID-19 positive, over 1,000 recovered

The Bayonne Office of Emergency Management is reporting that only 75 residents are currently COVID-19 positive, with over 1,000 patients now recovered.

“To date, 1,221 Bayonne residents have tested positive for COVID-19, regardless of where that test was given. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 74 Bayonne residents have passed away due to coronavirus-related illnesses,” Bayonne OEM wrote last night.

They also noted that only 75 residents are currently COVID-19 positive, with 1,221 recovered, to date.

Furthermore, the emergency response agency said that as of Thursday, the Bayonne Medical Center had no coronavirus patients in their critical care unit and only two COVID-19 positive inpatients.

“To date, the BMC has tested 3,918 people. Of that number, 2,860 were NEGATIVE and 760 were POSITIVE for a 19.39 percent positivity rate,” Bayonne OEM added.
