Nysheed Gleaton, 24, of Bayonne, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated manslaughter, a first-degree crime, Suarez said in a statement.

The State will be recommending a sentence of 22 years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act. Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, October 7th before Hudson County Superior Court Judge Vincent J. Militello.

On Sunday, January 23rd, at approximately 12:28 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of 32 Belmont Ave.

Responding officers found a man – later identified as Rasheen Bostick, 32, of Jersey City – with an apparent gunshot wound to his torso.

He was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12:55 p.m.

The State is represented in this case by Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Keith Travers.

According to Bostick’s obituary, he was the oldest of three children, a graduate of the Jersey City Public Schools, and was “a loving, caring person, that will give you the shirt off his back.”

“Whenever someone needed him, he came through with no questions asked. Rasheen had an old soul who enjoyed R&B music from artists like Dru- Hill, and artists from Motown and yes, he loved his rap music as well. Lil’ Rah also had a chance to live his best life by vacationing every chance he got stamping his passport.”
