UPDATED: Bayonne authorities seeking public’s help to locate missing 13-year-old boy


Update: The Bayonne Office of Emergency Management said that Martorell was safely returned home around 1:45 p.m.

Bayonne authorities are seeking┬áthe public’s help to locate a missing 13-year-old boy that was last seen in front of his home early yesterday evening.

Joevany Martorell, 13, was last scene in front of his family’s home on Colonial Drive in the Country Village section of the city around 6 p.m. last night, according to a missing person flyer.

At the time of his disappearance, Martorell was riding his grey Huffy mountain bike and was wearing a white tank top, red basketball shorts, and black “Jordan” flip flops.

According to police, he is known to frequent Mercer and Rutkowski Parks in Bayonne, and is also known to frequent areas in Union City, North Bergen, and Guttenberg.
