The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Crime Scene Unit was investigating a dead body found inside a West New York apartment building earlier this afternoon.

Prosecutor’s office spokesman Ray Worrall confirmed that the agency was probing the death of a man found at 6309 John F. Kennedy Boulevard East early this afternoon, indicating that the death did not appear to be suspicious at this time.
Sources, who spoke under the condition of anonymity since they were not authorized to speak on the matter, said that a preliminary investigation indicated that the death was a suicide.
By about 3 p.m., any law enforcement presence had already left the scene and the West New York Police Department deferred comment to the prosecutor’s office.
No other information was immediately available.
