The All Saints Episcopal Day School in Hoboken has named Tom Trigg as the interim head of school, effective as of Monday.

“Every conversation I have had with people who know All Saints has reinforced that this is a school and a community with the kinds of heart and soul that transform people — not just students, but parents and faculty, too,” Trigg said in a statement.
“It is a real honor to be entrusted with the care and stewardship of the great programs and traditions Jill Singleton has thoughtfully nurtured here.”
He succeeds Jill Singleton, who retired after serving as the head of school for 18 years.
“We look forward to welcoming Tom and introducing him to the community! Over the last few months, Tom has been in touch with me and our leadership team to ensure a seamless transition,” added Singleton.
Trigg is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned his B.A. in English. He also attended Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, and Yale Divinity School.
“It is Tom Trigg’s strong experience with strategic institutional advancement that makes him such a good candidate for this interim position,” said Nat Conard of Educators Collaborative, who is leading the nationwide search for a permanent Head of All Saints.
“After a long tenure such as Jill’s, it is especially useful to have an interim, with a fresh set of eyes, to finalize a school’s strategic plan before appointing a permanent head who has the specific skill set to carry that vision forward.”
Trigg has served as Head of School at Cape Cod Academy and at Carolina Day School and most recently worked as a consultant to nonprofit boards and leaders.
“Tom’s enthusiasm for serving as our Interim Head of School was very clear in our meetings with him. His values align strongly with those of All Saints, and he is clearly committed to leading us through this next school year. I’m eager to have this opportunity to work with him,” added Board of Trustees Chair Cassy Sommer.
All Saints Episcopal Day School is a nursery through Grade 8 International Baccalaureate (IB) world school with two locations in Hoboken.
The school strives to create an academic, social, and spiritual climate where people learn, work, and play together with respect, responsibility, and understanding.
Founded in 1985 as a preschool, All Saints has expanded its grade offerings over the intervening years and graduated its first Grade 8 class in 2012.
