Mario Albero, 45, is charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (baseball bat), burglary, and unlawful possession of a weapon (baseball bat), Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.

Adrian Tejada, 28, and Robert Nunez, 41, are charged with three counts of terroristic threats and burglary. They are both Jersey City police officers that have both been on the force since mid-2019, public records show.

They were off-duty when the alleged crimes occurred.

The three defendants were arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City and released pending their first court appearance.

The investigation found that on Sunday, January 28th, the defendants entered a private structure on Zabriskie Street in Jersey City and threatened to harm multiple individuals.

Suarez credited the HCPO Internal Affairs Unit and the Jersey City Police Department Internal Affairs Unit with the investigation and arrests.
