2 more COVID-19 deaths in Bayonne, bringing total to 8, 184 current cases overall

2 more COVID-19-related deaths brings Bayonne’s total to eight, with the city’s number of current casing now reaching 184, according to the city’s Office of Emergency Management.

“Mayor Davis has informed us that two more residents, an 82-year-old male, and a 74-
year-old female, have passed away from Coronavirus-related illness,” OEM said this evening.

“Mayor Davis, once again, is expressing his deepest condolences, on behalf of our entire city, to the families of these fellow Bayonne residents.”

They also revealed that the number of current cases rose 184, up 28 from yesterday, with the number of approximately 12 recovered patients staying the same.

This afternoon, the New Jersey Department of Health said there are 25,590 confirmed cases of COVID-19 throughout the state, including 2,270 cases in Hudson County, along with 44 deaths – the third most in the state by county.

As of 9 p.m., other disclosed totals are as follows:

Jersey City – 820, North Bergen – 298, West New York – 222, Union City – 174, Hoboken – 156, Kearny – 106, Secaucus – 102, Harrison – 42, Weehawken – 55, Guttenberg – 15, and East Newark – 6.
