1,800 people attend North Bergen’s Wild Wild West-themed end of summer pool party

Approximately 1,800 people attended North Bergen’s Wild Wild West-themed end of summer pool party last week, which included mechanical bull riding, free food and drinks, a trackless train ride, musician Houston Bernard, and much more.

“I think one of the nicest things going is that it has such a great community feel,” state Senator (D-32)/North Bergen Mayor Nick Sacco said at the event.

“Our annual pool party is always one of the highlights of the summer in North Berge. It’s such an incredible opportunity to celebrate our vibrant and diverse community and to bring everyone together before the start of the school year,” he added today.

The annual pool party not only brings people together, but also creates an opportunity to highlight North Bergen’s vibrant local food culture.

Local vendors in attendance included Tio Rozay’s BBQ and The Corn Guys. Other vendors who donated generously to the event included Boulevard Diner, Cuomo & Son’s Deli, GP’s Restaurant, Hudson Bread, Pat La Frieda Meat Purveyors, Rancho Mateo, Rumba Cubana, Sabor, Tapas de Espana, Trattoria La Sorrentina, and Waterside Restaurant.

“It’s events like these that always make me so proud to represent North Bergen,” added Parks and Recreation Commissioner Hugo Cabrera.

“It was great to see so many families come out to swim, eat, play games, and socialize with their neighbors. Every year’s pool party seems to be livelier and more fun than the last!”
