WNYPD’s Narcotics Unit to receive award from state for 2014 drug bust

The West New York Police Department’s Narcotic Unit will receive an award from the New Jersey Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association for an investigation into an illegal drug trafficking operation that spanned throughout the state during 2014.

West New York Police Detectives Thomas Mannion, Carlos Mateos, and Kevin Shabazz have been recognized by the State of New Jersey for a narcotics investigation which resulted in an arrest and seizure of three pounds of marijuana and crack cocaine that occurred on October 2, 2014 and November 7, 2014.

“Their professionalism and dedication are a credit to WNYPD,” said Police Director Robert Antolos in a prepared statement.

  1. Don’t they get rewarded enough from the Prostitution establishment at 61st and Van Buren. 50 working girls and all the drugs there. Doesn’t their take for protection satisfy their greed?
