Christian Amaro, a former town Office of Emergency Management employee, filed a lawsuit in Hudson County Superior Court in August 2012 alleging that officer Michael Acosta, son of Deputy Mayor Silvio Acosta, sexually harassed him on multiple occasions.

The matter was ironed out during a lengthy executive session at yesterday’s meeting and the town does not admit to any wrongdoing due to the terms agreed upon in the settlement.

Amaro was represented by North Bergen attorney Louis Zayas, who has previously been involved with a number of lawsuits against the Roque administration.
