North Bergen police are investigating an armed robbery at 1408 43rd St., an incident that has been ongoing since late this morning that required assistance from the at least the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, according to witnesses.

Hudson County View arrived on the scene around 1:45 p.m., with witnesses, who asked not to be identified, claimed they heard gunshots prior to police arriving at the scene and that at least one suspect was still at large as of 2:25 p.m.
North Bergen police were still on the scene investigating the incident as of moments ago, but declined to comment given that the investigation is ongoing.
The department has since confirmed that two suspects were arrested during a foot pursuit and two remain at large, as well as that two handguns and an Uzi submachine gun have been recovered.
Based on a photo sent to Hudson County View, the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene at about 11:30 a.m. this morning but had already left this afternoon.
