Ukrainian Jersey City will host their 6th annual Vyshyvanka Charity Run/Walk next month at J. Owen Grundy Park at Exchange Place to support humanitarian aid to the Ukraine.

The event will take place on Sunday, August 23rd at 9 a.m. and anyone interested in participating can register here for a $45 fee.
Children may participate free of charge with registration, making the event a meaningful opportunity for the entire family to get involved.
This event will benefit UJC’s Ambulances for Ukraine initiative, which provides evacuation vehicles to combat medics transporting wounded civilians and soldiers to stabilization points and hospitals.
As these vehicles are frequently damaged or destroyed in combat, the need for reliable replacements remains urgent.
Every vehicle delivered through the Ambulances for Ukraine initiative represents more than transportation—it is a vital resource that helps combat medics reach the wounded, evacuate patients, and provide lifesaving care when every minute counts.
Thanks to the generosity of participants, donors, volunteers, and sponsors, proceeds from last year’s event helped fund and deliver two vehicles to Ukraine, bringing the total number of vehicles delivered through UJC’s humanitarian efforts to 23.
This annual fundraiser is one of the organization’s most impactful initiatives, enabling UJC to respond to urgent requests from frontline medical teams and provide lifesaving assistance where it is needed most.
Inspired by the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt—the vyshyvanka, a symbol of resilience, unity, and national identity—participants are encouraged to wear embroidered shirts or blue and yellow colors as they run or walk in support of Ukraine.
All registered participants will receive a special branded keepsake, courtesy of Ukrainian Jersey City.
