Authorities are seeking a driver who killed a pedestrian near the Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center early this morning, fleeing the scene on foot after the accident occurred, an official confirmed.

Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Ray Worrall confirmed that a female pedestrian was fatally struck by a small SUV that jumped the curb at 7600 River Road at around 6:30 a.m. this morning.
The North Bergen Police Department has closed both River and Bulls Ferry Roads as a result of the accident and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the prosecutor’s office, is on the scene as well.
No further information was immediately available.
