Davis submitted a letter to Suarez today asking her to look into any instances of official misconduct or improper spending, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

The sources spoke to Hudson County View under the condition of anonymity since they were not authorized to speak on the matter.

In a public statement issued last week, Davis called for accountability at the board of ed, who have made it public knowledge that they are operating with a budget deficit of at least $6 million.

“Since November of 2016 when this issue first came to light I have stood by offering any assistance available only to be rebuked,” he began.

” … As public servants, the superintendent and school administrators are accountable to all of us, including the BOE members, and should answer the basic questions that have been asked for over six months. How did this happen? Who is responsible? And most importantly, how does this effect our children?”

As a result of the BOE approving 261 layoffs on Wednesday, Bayonne High School students walked out of class on Thursday.

A spokesman for the prosecutor’s office, as well as Davis’ office, did not return inquiries seeking comment.

  1. The investigation should start with the superintendent of schools and the business administrator,
and next the seven board members that were elected that should be thrown out on their ass.
