The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the two bodies were discovered shortly before 9 a.m. this morning, specifically at the Weehawken Cove in Hoboken.

Minutes ago, the office released the names of the deceased: Ali Harb, 41, of West New York, and Juan Bustamonte, 35, of Union City.

According to sources, who spoke under the condition of anonymity since they were not authorized to speak on the matter, both individuals found in the river are originally from West New York and graduated from MHS.

The next of kin has been notified of their deaths, sources said, and the prosecutor’s office said on Twitter that “the two deaths in Hoboken do not appear to be suspicious,” though they are awaiting results from the state medical examiner’s office.

They added that “there should be no concern to the public” as a result of the incident.
