A Union City man was killed by a car traveling on John F. Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen last night, Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari announced.

Last night at approximately 10:15 p.m., a motor vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian at 702 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen, Schillari said in a statement.
The victim, Justin Winters, 33, of Union City, was seen by witnesses crossing the street near the Dunkin Donuts at the intersection of 7th Street and Kennedy Blvd in Union City, at which time he was struck by a 2004 Infinity G35 traveling Southbound, the sheriff said.
The vehicle driven and owned by Renny Martinez, 22, of North Bergen and the victim was transported by North Bergen and Jersey City EMS to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:01 p.m., officials said.
The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, authorities said.
