A Guttenberg woman has been charged with stabbing a 22-year-old Union City man to death inside his bedroom on Saturday night, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Catelin D. Hichos, 23, of Guttenberg, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter, hindering apprehension and several weapons related offenses, Suarez said in a statement released this evening.
On Saturday, July 30, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers from the Union City Police Department responded to 317 Mountain Road on a report of an unresponsive male, later identified as 22-year-old Kevin Argueta, officials said.
Upon their arrival, officers found the victim on the floor of his bedroom with multiple sharp force injuries to his body and Argueta was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Within hours, investigators from the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the Union City Police Department were able to arrest Hichos in connection with the death of the victim, police said.
Her bail has been set in the amount of $500,000, cash or bond, officials said.
