A 17-year-old juvenile has been charged with a fatal Jersey City shooting that occurred in Greenville on Friday, Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced.

The 17-year-old male is charged as a juvenile with aggravated manslaughter, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and tampering with physical evidence.
He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office yesterday. Juvenile matters are confidential and no additional information can be released.
Shortly after 5:10 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of an injured man inside an apartment on Rose Avenue.
Responding officers located a male juvenile – later identified as Al-Jahmir Curry, 16, of Pennsylvania – with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead just before 5:30 p.m.
The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the upper body and the manner of death to be homicide.
Mello credited the HCPO Homicide Unit and the Jersey City PD with the investigation and arrest.
